STANDINGS: The Engineers currently sit in fifth place in the league, tied with Ithaca ... Bard is a win ahead and Hobart is three wins in front ... The top six schools make the playoffs.

OVER THE WEEKEND: Rensselaer dropped a pair of games, losing at RIT on Friday and at Skidmore on Saturday ... Hobart won its two games, beating both Ithaca and RIT on the road.

FIRST MEETING: On January 8 in Geneva, RPI freshman Dom Black led five student-athletes in double digits with 16 points while pulling down a game-high seven rebounds as the Engineers defeated Hobart, 83-78 ... Andreas Kontopidis added 14 points, Marcus Giese and Tom Horvat both scored 13 points and Mitchel Wayland had 12 points for the visitors ... Horvat and Wayland both sank three 3-pointers ... The Statesmen had four players reach double digits with Colin Dougherty going for 21 points, along with seven rebounds and five assists ... Jamal Lucas posted 18 points, Tucker Lescoe notched 12 points and five assists and Sean McKinless added 11 points.

BOUNCED BACK: Since its loss to the Engineers, Hobart has won five of its last six games, including four on the road.

IN 2017-18: The Engineers were defeated by the Statesmen in their two meetings a season ago, including a 69-57 loss in Troy on January 9 ... Hobart took the rematch 77-69 three weeks later.

LEAGUE LEADERS: RPI is first in the conference in scoring defense, allowing 67.9 points in its 19 games ... The Engineers are also at the top in assists per game with 15.21 ... Hobart leads the conference in rebounding defense at 33.3 per game.

AMONG SCORING LEADERS: Colin Dougherty, a senior for the Statesmen, is third in the Liberty League in scoring at 17.4 points per game ... Tom Horvat of RPI is sixth at 16.6 per game ... Skidmore's Noah Meren (21.7) and Ithaca's Riley Thompson (18.8) are the conference leaders.

SEASON-HIGHS: Senior Tom Horvat has the most points in a single game for the Engineers this season having notched 30 against RIT in early January ... That total is the seventh highest among Liberty League student-athletes ... Hobart's Colin Dougherty is third with a 32-point effort against St. John Fisher in late November ... Skidmore's Noah Meren is first with 39 points, which came against Hartwick.

IN SCHOOL HISTORY: Rensselaer senior Tom Horvat has scored 1473 career points and ranks second in school history ... Andreas Kontopidis, also a senior, has 1131 career points, which is 10th all-time ... Tom Ronan '92 is first in program history with 1724 points.
