VERMONT COMES BACK TO WIN
The Catamounts rebounded from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat Rensselaer, 4-2, on Saturday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse in the Catamount Cup finale ... Chase Zieky and Ture Linden scored the game's first goals, before the hosts stormed back with two late second period goals to tie the game at 2-2 ... Matt O'Donnell gave the Catamounts the lead for good at 3:16 of the third, with Max Kaufman adding an empty-netter at 19:31 of the period ... Owen Savory made 48 saves in his only action of the weekend.

NO. 11 NORTHEASTERN EDGES RPI
Zack Solow scored 4:21 into overtime to lift then-No. 11 Northeastern to a 3-2 victory over Rensselaer in the Catamount Cup opener on December 28 ... RPI junior Patrick Polino opened the scoring at 7:23 of the first, but the Huskies drew even at 13:00 of the second, before taking a 2-1 lead 17 seconds into the third ... A Will Reilly extra-attacker goal with just under a minute to play in regulation sent the game to overtime, leading to Solow's winner ... Sophomore Linden Marshall turned away 26 as the Engineers outshot Northeastern, 33-29, on the day.
