FIRST GAME: Meghan Foley scored 23 points and Sarah Gibbs scored 12 with 20 rebounds to lead Gordon to a 73-68 victory over Rensselaer on Saturday ... Courtney Lewis finished with 17 points for the Engineers ... Celia Tomlinson had 12 points and eight rebounds, Ines Ortea also had 12 points and Brielle Sharry scored 10 points with five rebounds.

STREAK SNAPPED: Saturday's loss broke a four-game winning streak in season openers for Rensselaer ... RPI is now 6-4 in its last 10 games to start a campaign.

HOME STARTERS: The Engineers are 8-2 in their last 10 home openers, including five consecutive victories. 

2018-19 CAPTAINS: Rensselaer will be led by a trio of senior captains in Ines Ortea, Sam Krumbhaar and Celia Tomlinson.

UPCOMING: The Engineers are on the road for their next three games, beginning on Saturday at the College of Saint Elizabeth ... RPI's next home game is Monday, December 2 at 6pm vs. Smith.

HOME SLATE: Rensselaer plays 11 home games, including two non-league.

LEAGUE PLAY: RPI has three Liberty League games in early December ... It hosts St. Lawrence and Clarkson the first weekend and travels to Bard on December 11 ... Conference games begin at either 5:30pm (Tuesdays & Fridays) or 2pm (Saturdays).

DOWN TIME: The Engineers have a 24-day break from games between December 12 and January 4.

FINAL NON-LEAGUER: Rensselaer plays one non-league game in the spring semester: January 5 at NYU (3pm).

PRESEASON POLL: The 2019-20 Liberty League Preseason Poll puts Rensselaer in eighth place with 29 points ... Skidmore is in seventh with 34 and Ithaca is the favorite, having garnered 77 points.

ALL-LEAGUE: Rensselaer's Elizabeth Eckhardt and LaKissa Martin were chosen All-Liberty League Honorable Mention following the 2018-19 season.
