GAMEDAY (Nov. 22, 2019): The Engineers make their home debut with a non-conference contest against Mount Saint Mary College (6pm).

HOME STARTERS: The Engineers are 8-2 in their last 10 home openers, including wins in each of their last five.

FIRST HOME FOES: In the past 10 seasons, RPI has played its first home game against Sage (2-1), Clarkson (1-0), Cobleskill (1-0), Middlebury (1-0), Berkley (1-0), WPI (0-1) and Cooper Union (2-0). 

EIGHTH MEETING: The Engineers and Knights have played seven times before with Rensselaer winning four games.

ON LOCATION: Rensselaer is 2-1 at home against the Knights and 1-2 in Newburgh ... The initial meeting took place in a tournament at LeMoyne College in 1993. 

RPI ON TUESDAY: RPI outscored Cobleskill by 10 points in both halves and the Engineers posted their first victory of the season, 80-60 ... Sophomore Mason Memmelaar scored 21 points with seven rebounds, an assist and two steals ... Junior Patrick Mahoney added 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds and Mitchel Wayand scored 11 points.

BOARD WORK: The Engineers had a 48-28 advantage in rebounds against Cobleskill on Tuesday ... RPI had nearly as many offensive boards (24) as the Fighting Tigers had in total (28).

OPENING WEEKEND: Rensselaer began its season at the Rick Martin – Hampton Inn Tournament, where it dropped contests to Rutgers-Newark (61-58) and the host, Westfield State (78-52) ... In the first game, the Knights got a pair of clutch three pointers late in the second half to take its first lead of the game and held off RPI ... Rensselaer was led by 21 points from Patrick Mahoney and 11 from Mason Memmelaar ... Memmelaar was the lone Engineer in double figures on Saturday ... He had 18 points along with five rebounds.

2018-19 CAPTAINS: Seniors Kevin Davis and Mitchel Wayand will serve as the Engineers' captains this season.

HOME SLATE: Rensselaer plays 10 home games, including one non-league.

LEAGUE PLAY: RPI has three Liberty League games in early December ... It hosts St. Lawrence and Clarkson the first weekend and travels to Bard on December 11 ... Conference games begin at either 7:30pm (Tuesdays & Fridays) or 4pm (Saturdays).
