GAMEDAY (Feb. 8, 2019): Rensselaer begins a four-game homestand with Bard serving as the opposition to kick things off ... The Engineers are 11-10 overall, while the Raptors are 12-9 ... In the league, RPI is 6-8 and Bard is 8-6.

STANDINGS: If the season ended with the current standings holding as they are, the Engineers would be the sixth seed in the post-season, while the Raptors would be the fourth seed ... RPI would travel to Hobart and Bard would host Ithaca in the first round.

OVER THE WEEKEND: Rensselaer split a pair of road games, winning at Union on Friday but losing at Ithaca in overtime on Saturday ... Bard played Vassar and Skidmore last weekend with a win over the Brewers but a loss to the Thoroughbreds.

RPI LAST TIME OUT: Senior Tom Horvat nailed a three pointer with five seconds remaining in regulation, but RPI could not repeat the feat in overtime and the Engineers lost to Ithaca, 89-85 ... Horvat finished with 24 points and sophomore Patrick Mahoney added 23 ... Mitchel Wayand (14) and Andreas Kontopidis (11) also reached double digits ... Riley Thompson paced the Bombers with 26 points.

BARD LAST TIME OUT: After back-and-forth action paced play in the first half, Skidmore came out on fire in the second, shooting 67 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range on its way to an 83-72 victory ... Alijah Rue led the Raptors, scoring 20 points ... David Runcie added 15 points, while Justyn Rogers and Stamatis Koulouris each tallied 11 points ... The Thoroughbreds' Noah Meren scored a game-high 25 points.

IN 2017-18: The Engineers defeated the Raptors by five at home on January 13, 2018 (67-62), but lost at Bard in overtime on February 9 (71-65).

THIS SEASON: On January 12 in Annandale-On-Hudson, four Raptors scored in double figures to power Bard to a 68-54 win over Rensselaer ... Armando Dunn, Alijah Rue and Justyn Rogers each finished with 13 points, while David Runcie collected 12 points in the winning effort ... Tom Horvat had 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting for the Engineers, who saw Marcus Giese add 10 points and 11 rebounds.

DEE-FENSE: In the first contest between RPI and Bard, defense was key for the Raptors, who held the Engineers to 23 percent shooting in the first half and 32 percent  overall ... Bard forced 14 turnovers.

LEAGUE LEADERS: Bard is first in the conference in assists (15.19 per game), field goal percentage defense (40.8%), blocked shots (4.95 per) and rebounding (41.8 per).

AMONG SCORING LEADERS: RPI's Tom Horvat is fifth in the Liberty League in scoring at 16.7 points per game ... Alijah Rue of Bard is also at 16.7 per game ... Noah Meren of Skidmore leads (21.4).
