ENGINEERS TIE NO. 13 CORNELL
After two scoreless periods, senior Meirs Moore answered a Mitch Vanderlaan tally to earn RPI a 1-1 tie with then-No. 13 Cornell at the Houston Field House on February 2 ... Owen Savory made 40 saves in the contest, while his counterpart, Matthew Galajda had 14 stops a the other end of the ice. 

RENSSELAER TOPS COLGATE
RPI received goals from Nick Bowman, Kyle Hallbauer and Chase Zieky to erase an early first period deficit and beat the Raiders, 3-1, on February 1 at the Houston Field House ... Bowman's tally was the first of his collegiate career, with classmate Tommy Lee earning his first RPI point with an assist on the play ... Owen Savory turned away 28 for his third victory of the season.

RPI LEADERS
Junior Jacob Hayhurst (3 goal, 20 assists) has a team-best 23 points through 25 games this season ... Junior Will Reilly (4 goals, 10 assists) and freshman Ottoville Leppanen (3 goals, 11 assists) have 14 points apiece, while classmate Todd Burgess (5 goals, 8 assists) has 13 ... Fellow junior Patrick Polino (7 goals, 4 assists) as 11 points.

BETWEEN THE PIPES
Sophomore Linden Marshall (5-8-0) has a 3.70 goals against average and an .890 save percentage as the starter 13 games this season ... Freshman Owen Savory is 3-9-2 with a 2.27 goals against average and a .934 save percentage, which is good for third in the nation.

Freshman Owen Savory is 2-2-2 in his last six starts, sporting a 1.48 goals against average and a .951 save percentage.

ALL-TIME VS. DARTMOUTH
RPI owns a 46-41-5 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to January 17, 1908 – a 4-4 tie in Albany ... Dartmouth's current seven-game winning streak is the second-longest in series history ... The Engineers had a seven-game winning streak in the mid-90s, while the Big Green strung together eight straight wins from 2004 to 2007.

Junior Adrian Clark is 8-9-2 in 19 starts for the Big Green, including three shutouts ... He has a 2.57 goals against average and an .899 save percentage.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
RPI's three transfers all made their debuts at the Catamount Cup in late December ... Chase Zieky registered his first collegiate goal against Vermont, while Mike Gornall picked up an assist on the play ... Defenseman Shane Bear registered his first Engineers goal on January 4 at Harvard.

Jacob Hayhurst has been nominated for the prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award, given each year to the top player in college hockey.

TOP FACE-OFF MEN
The Engineers have won 49.4% of their faceoffs this season, led by junior Jacob Hayhurst, who is at 52.1% ... Freshman Ture Linden wins them at a 51.8% rate, while junior Make Marrello rounds out the top three at 50.8% ... Linden has won 55.1% of faceoffs in ECAC Hockey play, helping RPI to a 50.8% winning percentage as a team.

Freshman Jakub Lacka leads the Engineers with three power play goals, while junior Patrick Polino has the club's lone shorthanded tally ... Polino is scoring on 14.9% of his shots, which is tops on the team ... Freshman Ottoville Leppanen is a team-best +3 for the year, with classmates Jake Johnson and Jakub Lacka at +2.

SAVORY RECOGNIZED AGAIN
Freshman goaltender Owen Savory was named ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week after helping the Engineers to a 1-0-2 mark in three games ... He stopped 111 of the 113 shots he faced and registered his first collegiate shutout against then-No. 18 Union at the 2019 Mayor's Cup on January 29.

VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Engineers are 2-7-3 against teams ranked in the USCHO.com Top 20, sweeping then-No. 11 Union on October 26 and 27 ... RPI then dropped league games at then-No. 13 Quinnipiac and then-No. 18 Princeton on November 9 and 10 ... The Engineers were swept by then-No. 8 Notre Dame on November 30 and December 1 ... RPI fell to then-No. 11 Northeastern, 3-2 in overtime, on December 28 at the Catamount Cup ... The Engineers dropped a conference matchup with then-16th-ranked Clarkson on January 12 ... SAVORY RECOGNIZED 
Freshman goaltender Owen Savory earned ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Engineers to a 5-2 victory over UConn on January 16 ... He made 31 saves in the contest, including at least 10 in each period and turned away all five shots he saw shorthanded.

FIRST GOALS
Freshman Jakub Lacka netted his first collegiate goal just 15 minutes into his first game, scoring on the power play in the first period at UMass on October 12 ... He added his second goal the following evening at the Houston Field House ... Freshman Ottoville Leppanen and Ture Linden each potted their first collegiate goals against No. 11 Union on October 26 – a 5-3 victory at the Houston Field House ... Rookie blueliner Kyle Hallbauer scored his first goal in the Cherry & White on November 30 at then-No. 8 Notre Dame ... Freshman defenseman Brady Ferner potted his first goal on December 7 at Yale, while junior Transfer Chase Zieky netted his first collegiate tally at Vermont on December 29 – his 10th career game ... Rookie defenseman Kyle Hallbauer earned his first collegiate point – an assist – against the Minutemen on October 12 in Amherst ... Classmates Brady Ferner and Jake Johnson each picked up their first collegiate assists against Union on October 27 ... Nick Bowman netted his first collegiate goal on February 1 against Colgate, with classmate Tommy Lee earning his first assist on the same goal.

HAYHURST'S HOT START
Junior Jacob Hayhurst registered at least one point in six of RPI's first seven games, including three multi-point contests ... He recently had a five-game point streak snapped.

POINT OF REFERENCE
Junior Jacob Hayhurst was the first RPI player to record a point in each of the team's first five games since Matt Neal in the 2012-13 season ... Neal collected three goals and six assists for nine points in five contests. 

MARSHALL AWARDED
Sophomore goaltender Linden Marshall was named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week on October 29, after leading the Engineers to a 2-0 weekend against Union ... He compiled a 2.50 goals against average and a .932 save percentage with 68 total saves in the two games against the Dutchmen.

ENGINEERS DROP A PAIR
RPI fell to Brown (3-0) on Friday and No. 20 Yale (3-2) on Saturday, in the 42nd Annual Big Red Freakout! Owen Savory made 14 and 19 saves in the two contests, respectively, while freshman Ottoville Leppanen and Chase Zieky netted goals for the hosts ... Leppanen also had an assist, while classmate Jakub Lacka had two.

UNION CAPTURES CUP
The 18th-ranked Dutchmen took home the Mayor's Cup Trophy for the third straight year after RPI and Union played to a scoreless tie, at the Times Union Center on January 29 ... Freshman goaltender earned MVP honors after recording 43 saves for the Engineers ... Senior captain Cole Maier came through in the shootout, which determined the winner, scoring in the sixth round ... RPI defensemen Shane Bear and Kyle Hallbauer netted shootout tallies.
