GAMEDAY (March 13, 2019): The Engineers play home for the third straight game and fourth of five when Plattsburgh State visits East Campus Stadium for a non-league game (4pm).

ALL-TIME VS. PLATTSBURGH: The Engineers are 5-2 all-time against the Cardinals with five consecutive victories.

LAST SEASON: RPI scored seven straight goals in the second half in defeating Plattsburgh State, 11-6 ... Rensselaer got four goals apiece from Cliff Kigar and Jason Bram ... JT Kelly had four assists and Brian Doughty made eight saves ... RPI finished with a 49-25 edge in shots and a 38-25 cushion in ground balls ... It went 13-for-21 on faceoffs and 14-for-18 on clears ... Plattsburgh was 19-for-22 on its clear attempts ... Ryan Hubbard and Billy Moller each had two goals for the Cardinals, who got 14 saves from Donald Tesoriero.

IN 2017: Breanainn McNeally scored seven goals with an assist and JT Kelly added three goals and four assists to lead Rensselaer to a 14-5 victory over Plattsburgh State ... RPI scored 11 consecutive goals in the second and third quarters to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 12-2 lead ... Matthew Gilman added three goals and two assists in the win ... Ryan Hubbard scored two goals and Austin Graham had 15 saves for the Cardinals.

STREAKING: RPI enters the game having won its first four games ... The last time the Engineers were 4-0 was in 2012 when they started 7-0 ... Rensselaer finished 10-5 that season.

TWO PER WEEK: Beginning with the game last Saturday, the Engineers play two games a week - Wednesdays & Saturdays - in each of the next three weeks ... The next Wednesday when RPI does not play is April 3.

LAST TIME OUT: On Saturday against Babson, Owen Putman and Lucas Bastarache combined for seven goals and nine points to lead No. 18 Rensselaer to a 14-8 victory ... The Engineers held a 3-0 lead after the first quarter, a 7-2 edge at halftime and a 14-4 advantage after three quarters ... Cooper Urban had a goal and three assists, Cliff Kigar had two goals and an assist, and JT Kelly scored twice with one helper ... Brian Doughty stopped seven shots in the first half and three other goalies combined to make three saves in the final 30 minutes ... Mason O'Hanlon had two goals for the Beavers.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL: Junior Owen Putman was named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll after his performance against Babson ... He scored four goals with one assist for a game-high five points in a 14-8 win ... One of his goals was unassisted and all of his points came while the teams were even ... He finished with eight shots (5 on goal), a ground ball, and two caused turnovers. 

AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS: RPI attack Owen Putman is fourth in the Liberty League in goals per game (2.75) and JT Kelly is fourth in assists per game (2.50) ... Kelly and Putman are tied for second in points per game (4.75) ... Putman is second in shots per game (9.50) ... Keaton Ackermann is third in caused turnovers per game (2.25) and Tyler Hancock is fourth in ground balls per game (4.75).

PLATTSBURGH TO DATE: After having its first game postponed (Feb. 23 at Castleton), the Cardinals have played two games, defeating Skidmore in Saratoga Springs (10-8) and losing at Clarkson (14-5).

ON THE ROAD: After six games away from campus, Plattsburgh's first home game is March 26 against New England College (4pm).

IN 2018: Plattsburgh State advanced to the SUNYAC Tournament championship game for the fifth time in six years last season ... The Cardinals finished 7-9 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
