ORLANDO, Fla. - Senior
Andrea Valencia won her matches in doubles and singles and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team defeated Adrian College 6-0 in a rain-shortened non-league match at the USTA National Campus. The Engineers improve to 4-2 overall, while the Bulldogs drop to 0-5.
Valencia joined with
Brenda Peng to give the Engineers a 1-0 lead by shutting out their opponents, 8-0. The captain then won at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-1 for a 6-0 advantage. The contest was called at that point due to the weather. RPI was leading the three matches that were not completed.
