TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team concluded its season with a 7-2 victory over Union College to finish the campaign having won its last two matches. The Engineers' final records are 8-13 overall and 2-6 in the conference. The Dutchwomen drop to 3-10 and 1-6.
RPI took control of the match by winning all three doubles, including a pair of 8-6 victories. No. 1 team
Brenda Peng and
Sanjana Surapeneni defeated their opponents 8-6 and seniors
Andrea Valencia and
Nisha Rajamohan did the same. Rensselaer's No. 3 team of Jolee McCloskey and
Elly Klages blanked their opponents 8-0.
The Engineers then won all the singles matches from Nos. 3-6 with Peng, Valencia, Rajamohan and McCluskey each picking up victories.Â
