Rensselaer owns a 13-0-1 record in the all-time series, which dates back to September 12, 1987 – a 2-0 victory in Troy ... The Engineers are 7-0-0 at home against the Spartans, but have not squared off in Troy this century ... Their last home meeting was resulted in a 6-0 win on September 8, 1999 – nearly 20 years to the day of this year's match ... The two teams met the following year in Castleton, Vermont, with RPI winning 5-0.
