GAMEDAY (Jan. 11, 2020): After hosting Union last night, the Engineers welcome Skidmore for another Liberty League game at East Campus Arena.

NINE STRAIGHT: Rensselaer has won each of its last nine games, the program's longest winning streak since the 1990-91 team won 18 consecutive ... That team finished 20-5 and played in the NCAA Tournament.

LAST 10 VS. SKIDMORE: RPI is 3-7 in its last 10 games with the Thoroughbreds, including two losses last season ... Rensselaer split with Skidmore in 2017-18.

LAST 10 AT HOME: The Engineers are 4-6 in their last 10 games at home against Skidmore dating back to January 30, 2010.

JANUARY 26, 2019: Noah Meren and Edvinas Rupkus combined to score 46 points on 21 of 26 shooting to lead Skidmore to an 81-50 win over Rensselaer in Saratoga Springs ... Meren connected on 11 of 14 shots to score a game-high 24 points to go with three rebounds, a steal, a block and an assist in 31 minutes ... Rupkus had 22 points by making 10 of 12 shots, along with three rebounds and an assist in 27 minutes ... Tom Horvat led the Engineers with 17 points on 7 of 12 shooting with a rebound, two assists and a steal ... Patrick Mahoney added eight points with three rebounds. 

JANUARY 4, 2019: Edvinas Rupkus made a free throw with no time remaining in regulation to give Skidmore a 70-69 victory over RPI, thwarting an Engineers' comeback ... Rensselaer had trailed 69-63 with 40 seconds to play ... Rupkus finished with a game-high 21 points, along with seven rebounds ... Greg Skoric also reached double figures with 10 points, along with a game-high eight rebounds ... Patrick Mahoney led the Engineers with 16 points, along with six rebounds, and Andreas Kontopidis scored 15 points with a team-high seven rebounds.

RPI ON FRIDAY NIGHT: Rensselaer smothered Union defensively, holding the Dutchmen to under 30% shooting, and the Engineers won 61-50 ... Though it scored a season-low in a victory, RPI allowed just 24 first half points and 26 in the second  behind a defense that gave up only 15 baskets on 54 attempts ... Mason Memmelaar led the Engineers with 16 points, along with five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocked shots ... Dom Black had a dozen points, seven boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks.

SKIDMORE TO DATE: The Thoroughbreds saw their record drop to 3-8 overall and 2-2 in the conference with a loss at Ithca on Friday ... Skidmore has now lost four straight after winning its first two Liberty League contests.

SKIDMORE ON FRIDAY NIGHT: Skidmore couldn't keep up with the fast paced Ithaca offense in a 92-50 loss ... Tautvydas Kupstas led paced the Thoroughbreds with 15 points alongside four rebounds ... Ty Lamport had eight rebounds.
