SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Lindsay Eastwood recorded three assists to lead the Syracuse University women's hockey team to a 5-1 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), on Saturday afternoon at Tennity Ice Pavilion. With the win, the Orange improve to 9-16-1, while the Engineers drop to 0-27-1.
Anna Leschyshyn opened the scoring for the hosts at 6:33 of the first period, taking a feed from Jessica DiGirolamo for the tally.Â
Syracuse then scored three goals in the second period, to open up a 4-0 lead. Eastwood set up Lauren Bellefontaine at 3:03, before assisting on Abby Moloughney's goal 2:30 later. Emma Polaski capped the scoring in the period at 14:19 of the middle frame.

Sabrina Repaci got the Engineers on the board at 9:08 of the third, with a lone assist going to
Kendra Farole.Â
The Orange pushes their lead back to four goals (5-1) at 18:33, when Kelli Rowswell lit the lamp. Helpers on the game's final tally went to Eastwood and Savannah Rennie.
Amanda Rampado made 33 saves for the Engineers, while Ady Cohen had 15 stops at the other end of the ice.Â
RPI is back in action next weekend, when it visits Princeton and Quinnipiac on Friday (6pm) and Saturday (3pm). Syracuse plays a home-and-home series with RIT next weekend.Â
