GAMEDAY (Feb. 14, 2020): The Engineers (12-9; 8-6) play their final regular season games at East Campus Arena this weekend with league foes William Smith (13-8; 9-5) visiting Friday and RIT (9-12; 7-7) on Saturday afternoon.
STANDINGS: RPI is in fifth place, one win behind fourth place William Smith and one win ahead of RIT ... The top six teams in the final standings advance to the post-season with the top two earning byes ... The third seed hosts the sixth seed and the fourth hosts the fifth.
REMATCH: Friday's game is a rematch of a January 18 meeting between RPI and the Herons, which Rensselaer won 68-63.
JANUARY 18: In the first meeting between the the Engineers and William Smith, a 7-0 run late in the fourth quarter helped RPI to a 68-63 win ... Late in the contest, Herons senior Emma Gallagher's driving layup made it a 3-point game at the minute mark, but William Smith was unable to get a shot off to tie the game before
Sam Krumbhaar iced the win with two free throws.

Celia Tomlinson led RPI with game-highs of 23 points, 15 rebounds and six blocked shots in the first matchup with William Smith ...
Ines Ortea scored 14 points and handed out a team-high three assists, while
Sam Krumbhaar and
Courtney Lewis both scored 12 points ... Sophomore Stella Davis paced the Herons with 19 points, including three 3-pointers ... Junior Stavriana Dimitrakopoulou scored 14 points and Lauren DeVaney chipped in 10 points and eight boards off the bench ... ALL-TIME AGAINST WILLIAM SMITH: The Engineers are 24-44 against the Herons, including 15-16 in Troy ... There have been 63 conference games with Rensselaer trailing in those matchups 23-40.
FIRST MEETING: The Engineers and Herons first met on January 7, 1989, a 65-51 Rensselaer loss.
STREAK SNAPPED: RPI broke a three-game losing streak to William Smith with its win earlier this season ... Last season, the Engineers lost to the Herons 63-53 at ECAV Arena (Jan. 29) and 69-57 on the road (Jan. 8).
LAST 10: RPI is 4-6 in its last 10 games with William Smith with four of those contests (2-2) in Troy.
RPI LAST WEEKEND: Rensselaer suffered a pair of home losses, falling 81-70 to Vassar on Saturday and 66-46 to Ithaca on Sunday.
WILLIAM SMITH OF LATE: The Herons are on a four-game winning streak with victories over RIT (77-60), Union in overtime (75-64), St. Lawrence (55-52) and Clarkson (70-44) ... Each was a home game.
