GAMEDAY (Feb. 9, 2020): The Engineers (18-2; 13-0) host league foe Ithaca College (15-5; 10-3) in their second home game in less than 24 hours.

RPI YESTERDAY: Patrick Mahoney scored 27 points and the Engineers outscored Vassar 39-16 on their way to a 61-49 win ... The Engineers shot 52 percent from the field after halftime, while holding the Brewers to 28 percent.

EIGHTEEN STRAIGHT: Rensselaer has won each of its last 18 games, seven of which have come in Troy ... The winning streak ties RPI's longest in school history ... The 1990-91 squad won 18 in a row on its way to the NCAA Tournament ... The Engineers finished 20-5 that year.

SCHOOL RECORD: RPI's 13 league wins are the most in school history for a single season ... The previous mark was 11, which most recently happened in 2012-13 when the Engineers finished 11-5.

SIXTY VICTORIES: Seniors Mitchel Wayand and Kevin Davis have been a part of 60 wins in their Rensselaer tenures, which is fifth for any class ... The Class of 1993 holds the mark with 70, while three other classes have won 61 games.

REMATCH: Sunday's game is a rematch of a January 25 meeting, which the Engineers won 72-64.

JANUARY 25: Sophomore Mason Memmelaar scored 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting and RPI defeated Ithaca 72-64 ... Memmelaar scored 10 points in both halves to go with four total rebounds, a block and two steals ... Classmate Dom Black added 12 points with five rebounds, while Patrick Mahoney and Kevin Davis both had 10 points ... Ithaca was led by Sebastian Alderete (27 points) and Riley Thompson (20), who combined for 47 points ... Skylar Sinon added 13 points.

ON THE GLASS: In the first meeting with Ithaca, RPI's Kevin Davis and Mitchel Wayand both had eight rebounds and Patrick Mahoney chipped in with six.

LAST 10 AGAINST ITHACA: Rensselaer is 4-6 in its last 10 games with the Bombers, including an overtime loss in Ithaca during the regular season last year (89-85) and a loss in the playoffs in 2018-19 (88-74).

LAST 10 IN TROY: RPI has won eight of its last 10 home meetings with Ithaca, including each of the last four at ECAV.

ITHACA ON SATURDAY: Seniors Sebastian Alderete and Riley Thompson each scored 22 points in leading the Bombers to a 93-82 win at Union ... Sophomore Skylar Sinon notched a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. 

STANDINGS: Rensselaer is in first place in the Liberty League standings with 13 wins, which is one more than Hobart and three more than Ithaca ... The Engineers have one game remaining with Hobart, while the Bombers have already played the Statesmen twice, going 0-2 ... The top six schools qualify for the conference's post-season tournament.
