The first place Bombers improve to 12-2 in the conference and 16-5 overall, while the Engineers drop to 8-6 and 12-9.

Cannon, a guard, connected on 10 of 13 shot from the floor to garner game-high honors. Seven of her rebounds came on the offensive end and she also had an assist and two blocked shots. Kellyanne O'Reilly added 16 points, including three three-pointers, with four assists and Cassidy O'Malley scored 12 points with six rebounds.

Senior Sam Krumbhaar paced Rensselaer with 16 points, while Celia Tomlinson scored 12 with seven rebounds and four blocked shots.

The game was even through the first quarter with the Bombers holding a 13-12 lead after 10 minutes. They opened things up in the second by making 8 of 17 shots, led by Cannon, who had 15 points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes. The Bombers held a 30-23 lead at the break despite Krumbhaar's 16 points.

Ithaca opened the third quarter on a 7-2 run, backed by five points from Cannon, for a 37-25 lead before Tomlinson scored four of the next six points and Ines Ortea registered a basket to get the Engineers to within eight points (39-31) four minutes into the frame. The Bombers countered with a 10-2 stretch behind eight points from O'Reilly, for a 16-point lead (49-33) with just under four minutes remaining in the third. The margin grew to 18 points by the end of the third (55-37) and 20 after four.
