At Rensselaer, we are proud to recognize the student-athletes who are members of the Class of 2020. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and tremendous efforts in representing the Institute in a first-class manner academically and athletically. We wish them well in all their futures.

While at Rensselaer:
Four years of cross country and track & field ... Competed in 21 cross country meets ... Career-best 25:16.6 at Louisville Classic as senior ... All-Liberty League twice ... All-Region once ... Competed in 1500, mile, 3000, 5000 and 3000 Steeplechase in track & field ... Career-bests in 1500 (4:04.23) and 5000 (14:58.56) as junior ... Electrical Engineering major.

Favorite sports memory during career?
"Boston University indoor 5k junior year. Freshman year I remember we talked about how cool it would be to have more than five guys break nine minutes in the 3k in one day and on this day we had five break 15 minutes in the 5k." - April 2020

What makes Rensselaer so special?
"The people. I don't think you could find this mix of backgrounds and experiences anywhere else." - April 2020

What are your post-graduation plans?
"Work as an electrical engineer at CHA, a consulting firm located in Albany, New York." - April 2020

From the coaching staff:
"Danny was rarely satisfied with anything he did in his four years. He was always striving to be better and better. As each race and each season went by he would always say he could do more ... and he did. The best moment for me as his coach was watching him gut through an indoor 5k his junior year at BU and the elation he and his teammates had when he broke 15 minutes. It was special because I saw he was finally happy with an accomplishment ... of course a couple days later he knew he could do better again. His tireless work ethic and dedication to his running is what made him special." - March 2020

What others say:
"He is a great teammate who knows how to make everyone laugh by committing 100% to every joke and never giving in. Great runner, great friend." - March 2020

"Call him the god of mischief because he likes to cause trouble. But his trouble-making was always a lot of fun, and brought the team together for a good laugh." - April 2020

"I have never met someone more driven than Danny. If he wanted something, he would give everything to achieve it, no matter how insane his goal was. He always shot for the stars, all while having the best taste in music." - April 2020

"Great competitive nature." - April 2020

"A competitor at heart but a caring teammate who will sacrifice everything for the team. Over four years, he's always been there for anyone who needed help." - April 2020
