From the coaching staff:
"As a multi-event athlete who trains and competes in all track & field events, Patrick’s qualities as a thoughtful and supportive teammate and competitor shine through. From the coaching staff:
Mariana made a big jump her sophomore year in her level of training and running ability. This time period was special for me as her coach. She came to college from Spain so seeing her battle through her struggles freshman year and watching her be able to run big PR’s and be happy her sophomore year was special. She had a lot of ability that she had a hard time tapping into due to a lot of personal reasons but when she put it all together she ran great.” - March 2020
