Senior Celebration Series: July 21

At Rensselaer, we are proud to recognize the student-athletes who are members of the Class of 2020. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and tremendous efforts in representing the Institute in a first-class manner academically and athletically. We wish them well in their futures.

SENIOR CELEBRATION SERIES: Jakob Grant

While at Rensselaer:
Offensive line … Played 27 career games, starting 24 … Three games at defensive line as freshman … Offensive line as sophomore, junior and senior … Civil Engineering major ... Dean's Honor List.

From the coaching staff:
"Jakob Grant’s experience at Rensselaer was marked with constant transition, in the classroom and on the field. He switched from an Arch to Civil. He made a selfless move in the interest of the football team to change positions from a defensive lineman to an offensive lineman. He transformed from a quiet spirit, to a tremendous leader." - March 2020

SENIOR CELEBRATION SERIES: Alec Hazard

While at Rensselaer:
Defensive Line … Played 31 career games … Had 20 solo tackles and 29 assisted stops … Eight tackles for lost yards (22) and 2.5 sacks (10 yards lost) … Business and Management major.

From the coaching staff:
"Alec emerged as a key contributor for our defense in his first season at RPI in 2017. His big play ability helped guide our program to back-to-back league championships in 2017 and 2018. He displayed great leadership qualities during his senior year with the defensive line." - March 2020

SENIOR CELEBRATION SERIES: Dan Molzahn

While at Rensselaer:
Competed in 16 events in career, including heptathlon and decathlon … Career-best 1.74 in high jump as senior … Computer Science major ... Dean's Honor List.

From the coaching staff:
Quiet and focused, Dan shows great determination as he pushes to improve and succeed as a multi-event track & field athlete. Always busy with a full academic schedule, he finds the time to support and interact with teammates and fellow competitors. - March 2020
