At Rensselaer, we are proud to recognize the student-athletes who are members of the Class of 2020. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and tremendous efforts in representing the Institute in a first-class manner academically and athletically. We wish them well in their futures.

SENIOR CELEBRATION SERIES: Kristen Cregin

From the coaching staff:
"Kristen was always willing to lend a helping hand whether it was in the pool or out. She is a competitive person who was willing to put the team ahead of herself." - March 2020

What others say:
"Kristen Cregin led the women's team in the weight room, out-lifting many of the guys." - March 2020

"Never seizes to stop showing that with determination and strive, a lot can be accomplished." - April 2020

"While Kristen is a beast in the weight room, don’t let that scare you because she’s the sweetest person. You can always count on her to make you laugh during practice or at a meet. The swim team will be different without her. #BigChungus" - April 2020

SENIOR CELEBRATION SERIES: Zack Ebenfeld

While at Rensselaer:
Four-year performer … Went 36-15 in singles in career … Was 57-31 in doubles … All-Liberty League singles once … All-Liberty League doubles three times … All-America in doubles once … Mechanical Engineering major.

From the coaching staff:
"Zack came into RPI and made his impact on our program right away as a freshman. It only took him four weeks into his to show his skills and become an All-American doubles player. His mentality and style of play baffled his opponents and brought a lot of frustration to those across the net. Out of any player I have coached, Zack has the best hands and reactions at net. His willingness to put himself in front of hard hit shots and his ability to handle them with ease makes him one of the best doubles players to step on RPI's courts.

I'll never forget our first extended trip together to the National Championship Tournament in Surprise, Arizona. Aside from the tennis, we had opportunities to go hiking through the desert, take a few trips to the local lakes and learn a lot about each other as teammates and coaches. Although the performance wasn't what I had seen leading up to the tournament,  it was a unique opportunity to spend quality time with two freshmen on the team and develop a better understanding of who they are. It was a first in a national tournament for RPI and I am glad it was with two guys who would shape the image of RPI Tennis for the foreseeable future." - March 2020

What others say:
"Zachary was a great teammate. He is always motivated to improve during our practices and is always supportive during our matches. His enthusiasm for the sport and the team will be greatly missed." - April 2020

"Always very thoughtful, and always wanted the best for everyone on the team. When he was fired up there was no stopping him." - April 2020

While at Rensselaer:
Forward … Played 131 career games, scoring 24 goals with 28 assists for 52 points … Had 11 goals and eight assists while playing all 34 games as senior … Business and Management major ... Dean's Honor List.
