SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Following a day in which he shot a -3, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete
Joey Harrigan went even to capture medalist honors at the Saratoga National Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College. The senior totaled a 141 (69-72) for a 1-shot win in the field of 45.
As a team, the Engineers finished in second with a 300-301 - 601, +25. They moved up three spots with a day two combined score of +13.
Harrigan, who had four birdies and 13 pars on Saturday to sit in second place individually, carded a pair of birdies on Sunday. He shot a four on the 510-yard, par-5 fourth and a three on the 393-yard, par-4 14th. He added 14 pars, including on the final five holes of the front nine and the last four of the round.

Trent Han had single birdies on each nine and finished at +2 for the day, while junior
Thomas Fraser was four over on Sunday.

Babson won the team trophy with a 590 (296-294), while Skidmore was third at (604 (295-309), tied with Hamilton (305-299 - 604) and NYU (299-305 - 604).
The Engineers return to action next Sunday at the Golfweek Division III Preview.
