TROY, N.Y. - Though the possibility of a season remains unknown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is ranked 25th in the nation according to the latest Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
The Engineers, who are led by
Jamie Jackson '16, are made up of nine student-athletes, including four members of the Class of 2021 and two newcomers.
Rensselaer was just short of the Top 25 in the initial poll in mid-January, garnering 80 points and trailing No. 25 Trine University by five. The second listing has Trine and Nebraska Wesleyan, which had been No. 24, dropping out with St. John's (No. 22, 48 points), Redlands (No. 22; 48 points) and RPI replacing them. The Engineers are tied with East Texas Baptist at No. 25 with 40 points apiece.
Illinois Wesleyan (385 points) is ranked first, followed by Huntingdon (360), Emory (345) and Carnegie Mellon (330).
