WHAT OTHERS SAY:

  • I always looked up to Courtney since we played similar positions and her confidence on and off the court was something I always strived for. She is a funny, loud and happy leader and I am so grateful for all I have learned from her these past three years. She would always make me laugh and kept things entertaining. Courtney helped make our team feel like a family even when we couldn't be together this year and my heart goes out to her because I know how much basketball means to her. It must have been so difficult not being able to play her senior year. I feel lucky to call her one of my good friends and I know she will do great things at her new job. I will miss her dearly but I know our friendship will not end here.
  • From a coach: Courtney is our captain this year and would have been the lynch pin to our team’s on-court efforts had the pandemic not canceled our season. A basketball prodigy and phenom as a youth, she started for her high school as an eighth grader and scored over 2,000 points. Courtney’s body type and game remind many of a mini Kevin Durant or Bella Alarie. She is a long, rangy, agile, athletic, quick, fast player, whose skill set and athleticism allow her to play the 1 through 3 positions and if need be a 4. A significant game day contributor since day 1 and a starter her sophomore and junior years, Courtney played multiple positions from game to game or within games as needed. She helped the team to the Liberty League and ECAC Tournaments as the starting point guard in 2019-20. Courtney is a quietly confident, tough student-athlete who consistently contributed in points, rebounds, assists, steals and solid defense all three seasons, showing true grit and giving her best efforts while battling through a stress fracture in her foot during her sophomore and junior seasons. She consistently exhibited the positive tangibles and intangibles needed to be successful in the classroom, in the community and on the court.

WHAT OTHERS SAY:

  • Taylor is one of the kindest and happiest people I have met at RPI and I am so glad I got to spend three years on a team with her. She was a crafty player and always challenged me whenever I had to play against her in practice. Although she may seem quiet to others, she is hilarious and an amazing teammate and friend. I will miss her so much but I know our friendship won't end this year and I wish her the best of luck after RPI.
  • From a coach: Taylor’s amiable demeanor, intellect, work ethic and positivity made her a teammate’s teammate. Coupling a welcoming smile and understated humor with a blue collar work effort, her presence in the weight room, at practice, in the locker room, on the bench and on the court simultaneously put teammates at ease and inspired them to give their best.
