WHAT OTHERS SAY:

  • Vid is one of the kindest and hardworking people I know. She was an amazing teammate and friend and I’m gonna miss her a lot.
  • Vid has been a phenomenal teammate over the years. She always has a positive attitude and brings so much positivity to the team. She is one of the most hardworking and dedicated people I know and it has been an honor being her teammate and friend.
  • From a coach: I don't think I've had a player I've coached that has grown and developed more as a person than Vidhya. Since meeting her when she was a freshman, I have watched her mature as a tennis player, but also become an accomplished young woman who grows more confident every day. Vidhya has done a tremendous job of taking the young core of our tennis program and helping them navigate college during their freshmen years. She is a true teammate and friend to everyone on our team. I think back to a discussion between Vidhya's sophomore and junior year, when she remarked to me how important being a member of our tennis program was to her, and to just share the courts with her teammates meant a great deal to her. Her smile while on the tennis courts, her passion during practices and her willingness to seek out and implement feedback has made her an ideal player in our program. I look forward to seeing what she accomplishes as a Rensselaer alumnae.

JOLEE MCCLUSKEY

What Makes Rensselaer So Special: Rensselaer is a very special place because the students and faculty are very supportive. Everyone is willing to help you achieve your goals and dreams.

Post-Graduation Plans: Graduating early next December.

WHAT OTHERS SAY:

  • Jolee has been an amazing teammate and captain. She’s been a great guide and friend for us all and I’m going to miss her so much.
  • From a coach: Jolee was a part of my very first recruiting class here at RPI. On her phone call committing to RPI, she remarked, "If you'll still have me, I would love to join your tennis team at RPI." It was then I knew I was not only getting an amazing tennis player, but a genuine young woman who was going to do amazing things here. During her career, Jolee took advantage of every opportunity given to her. She excelled both at singles and doubles while becoming an anchor point at our No. 5 and No. 6 spots in our lineup. She dedicated herself to physical conditioning and sought out coaching whenever possible. As a sophomore she earned the role of a captain and has done a wonderful job leading during her career. Jolee is also a fantastic student, who (due to her work-ethic) will be graduating early following the fall of 2021.  While I couldn't be more proud of what she has accomplished, she will not be easy to replace and I'm a bit sad to see her go a semester early. I know she will continue to do big things after graduation.
