MEN'S HOCKEY (4-0-0; 0-0-0 ECAC Hockey)

RPI made a visit to Canisius on Tuesday and saw its season-opening four-game winning streak snapped, 3-2. The Engineers, who defeated LIU (1-0) and Army (7-4) last week, are home on Friday for an exhibition game against the U.S. National Development Team (7pm)

WOMEN'S SOCCER (3-6-3; 1-3-2 Liberty League)

Rensselaer dropped a pair of 1-0 games to RIT and No. 5 William Smith on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and looked to bounce back with its final non-league game of the regular season on Wednesday, but the contest with SUNY Poly was canceled. A road trip to conference foe Ithaca follows on Saturday at 2pm

WOMEN'S HOCKEY (0-6-0; 0-0-0 ECAC Hockey)

RPI continues its homestand with a pair of non-league contests against RIT on Friday and Saturday. Both games of the series begin at 3pm. The Engineers hosted Mercyhurst last week and took two losses, 2-0 and 4-1. Click HERE for the game program.

FIELD HOCKEY (6-8; 0-5 Liberty League)

The Engineers defeated Russell Sage 7-0 before losing overtime games to both William Smith (2-1) and Rochester (1-0). RPI closes out its Liberty League slate with two games this weekend beginning on Friday when St. Lawrence is in Troy (4pm). Two days later is a trip to Skidmore for a game at noon.

After a 1-1 tie at RIT on Friday, the Engineers gave up a late goal at Hobart on Saturday, losing, 2-1. RPI is home for its lone game this week, which is Saturday at 2pm against Ithaca at East Campus Stadium.

  • Senior Matt Lecky averaged 4:52.8 per mile to win, leading No. 6 men's cross country team to a victory in the 35-school, 8k Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle.
  • Senior Morgan Lee finished second overall to help women's cross country to a third place finish in the 35-school 6k Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle.
  • Sophomore Aiden Drover-Mattinen advanced to the semifinals of the national ITA Cup to earn All-America.
  • The tandem of Lorna Flores Gonzalez and Nikki Ridenour won their first round match at the national ITA Cup to earn All-America.
  • Jake Kazanowsky threw fourth quarter touchdown passes to D.J. Palmer, including one with 24 seconds left, and football came back to defeat Hobart 16-13.
