ITHACA, N.Y. - Delaney Rutan scored the game's only goal and Claire Reader made three saves to lead the Ithaca College women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in a Liberty League game at Carp Wood Field. 

In the 61st minute, Megan Buttinger sent a pass from the Bombers' defensive side of field down the right side, which Rutan ran into, took one dribble and then fired a right-footed shot from 18 yards out into the top of the goal, out of the reach of RPI goalkeeper Megan Wampner, who jumped and lunged but could not reach the ball.

Wampner did make four saves for the Engineers, including three in the second half, while Reader was perfect on the other end.
