Megan Wampner and
Sierra Skelding combined for a three-save shutout and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer season concluded its season with back-to-back scoreless draws as it tied Clarkson University in the regular season finale for both teams. RPI, which tied Vassar College 0-0 on Wednesday, finish at 3-7-5 overall and 1-4-4. The Golden Knights are now 9-5-3 and 4-3-2.
Wampner, a junior, made one save in the first 45 minutes, stopping a Maddie Lopol shot in the 34th minutes. Skelding, a sophomore, got the second half and made two saves, including one on Lopol after the Knights knocked the ball off the crossbar in the 52nd minute. Her second stop was 20 minutes later, after which Clarkson again hit the bar.
RPI had a good chance late in the game when Rachel Borra drew the Clarkson keeper out of position but then had her shot blocked in the 81st minute. Sarah  Sedlacek got to the loose ball and got a shot off but hit the bar. Clarkson was able to follow with a clear.
Molly DiCaprio had three saves for the Golden Knights, who were out shot 15-10 despite having a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
