-Both teams skated through first period scoreless. The Friars and Engineers finished the first tied in shots, 11-11, through twenty minutes.
-Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) scored an unassisted goal in the second period to give the Friars a 1-0 lead at the 10:52 mark.
-KC Brooks (Colorado Springs, Colo.) netted her first goal of the season, deepening the Friars' lead to 2-0 at the 9:40 mark. Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) and Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) earned the assist.
-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the day with 17 saves for Providence.
