Box Score TROY, N.Y. - Rani Jones, Lorna Flores Gonzales and Sonya Khudyakov each earned wins in doubles and then came back to post victories in singles as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team won for the sixth time in its last seven matches, 7-2 over Ithaca College in a Liberty League match at Sharp Courts. The Engineers are now 11-7 overall and 5-2 in the conference, while the Bombers drop to 10-6 and 3-3.

Rensselaer's No. 1 doubles team of Alex Mednikova and Jones got the home team off to a solid start with an 8-2 win. Flores Gonzalez and her sister Krisia earned RPI's second point heading into singles, where Lorna posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2. Jones had a closer match at No. 3, but prevailed 7-5, 6-3 and Khudyakov came back to win at No. 6 in a tiebreak, 6-7, 6-0, 10-5.

Nitya Subramaniam won at No. 4 singles and Brooke Bauer earned a victory at No. 5. RPI's lone singles loss came in dramatic fashion as No. 1 Alex Mednikova fell 7-5, 5-7, 11-9.

Rensselaer visits Bard College on Tuesday for its final match of the regular season. The Engineers have qualified for the Liberty League Tournament and plays in the quarterfinals on May 6.
