PURCHASE, N.Y. - Manhattanville College's Jackson Ayres scored in the 16th minute and Luis Granados made it stand by making three saves as the Valiants defeated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) 1-0 in a non-league game at GoValiants.com Field. Manhattanville is now 2-0-1 and the Engineers are 0-2-1.

Ayres, a junior, received a pass off a corner kick feed from Michael Mezzina for his first goal of the season. Granados followed by making three second half saves for the clean sheet.

Luke Brezak, a graduate student, had two saves - one in each half - for RPI, which travels to Plattsburgh State in its next game, Saturday at 6pm.
