Football Unable to Stop Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football team was dealt a 33-14 at Ithaca today.

The Engineers received a second-quarter rushing touchdown from Kayden White in the second quarter and score on the ground from quarterback Anthony DeMatteo in the fourth quarter.

Ithaca moved the ball well throughout the day, as the Bombers recorded 481 total yards and 22 first downs in the victory.

Bomber quarterback Matthew Parker finished 19-of-24 for 282 yards and three touchdowns in the win. 141 of Parker's yards went to receiver Nicolas Lang.

Cortez Garrett topped all players with 12 tackles, including six solo. Diego Fernandez, Owen Boland, and Nate Sicard each had nine takedowns as well. Sicard also added 2.5 tackles for loss, including one sack.

The Engineers will take advantage of the upcoming bye week before welcome Hobart to ECAV Stadium on Saturday, November 2.
