RPI Hosts RIT on Senior Day

TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 by RIT this afternoon in ECAV Stadium.

Gwen Barnes provided RPI a 1-0 lead with a right-footed strike outside the box with 56 seconds remaining in the first half.

The Tigers tied things up six minutes in the second half before depositing the game-winner in the 61st minute.

Meadow O'Connell recorded the assist for the Engineers on the Barnes goal.

The Engineers will take a week off before challenging Clarkson next Saturday at 2:00 pm in Potsdam.
