Engineers Nearly Beat the Buzzer in Scoreless Draw at Union

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team nearly was milliseconds away from scoring a game-winner in the closing moments at Union this afternoon, however the clock expired before the Engineer's final shot crossed the goal line.

As the final seconds ticked down, Kyle Osborne tucked a left-footed attempt into the back corner of the Union goal, however the shot was deemed to not have passed the goal line prior to the final second elapsing off the clock.

Osborne and Olivier Szorc each had two shots to lead the Engineers offensively. Colin Such made three saves in net to earn the clean sheet.

RPI will look to bounce back tomorrow with a 2:00 pm non-conference meeting against Colby College in ECAV Stadium.
