Men’s Hockey Returns to League Play at #18 Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team was on the wrong side of a 3-1 result at #18 Quinnipiac tonight.

Jimmy Goffredo scored his first goal of the season and Noah Giesbrecht stopped 32 shots tonight for RPI.

After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, the Quinnipiac stung the Engineers for two power play goals in the second period.

The Bobcats improved the margin to

3-0 in the first minute of third before Goffredo registered his unassisted tally at 14:16 in the final stanza.

Looking forward, RPI will continue its weekend trip with a 7:00 pm meeting at Princeton tomorrow night.
