TROY, NY- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team suffered a 14-7 setback against Middlebury College this afternoon at Robison Field at Karl Steffen Park.

Walker Abdallah, and
Stephen Koval tallied two hits each to led the RPI lineup.
After Middlebury propelled ahead 9-0 after five innings. RPI responded with a two runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth to cut the deficit to 9-7.Â
The Engineers received RBI from Hicks,
Julian Scarpa, and
Robbie Reddington in the sixth-inning rally.
Middlebury would maintain its 9-7 advantage until the Panthers pulled away with five runs in the eighth and ninth innings.
Beau Root and Nathan Samii each drove in four runs to lead Middlebury to the victory.
Looking forward, RPI returns to action at home against Bard on Friday. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm at Robison Field.
