CANTON, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's cross country team delivered a commanding performance at the 2025 NCAA Division III Mideast Region Championships on Saturday, capturing the team title behind seven top-20 individual finishes. Racing against a 26-team field at St. Lawrence University, the Engineers showcased their depth and dominance to clinch their second consecutive regional crown.
Evan Lacey led the charge with a third-place individual finish, covering the 8K course in 25:12.0. He was followed closely by
Colin Goldschmidt, who crossed in sixth place with a time of 25:19.1.
Tobin Durham (10th, 25:22.5),
Justin Cascio (11th, 25:22.6), and
Thomas Manson (14th, 25:28.3) rounded out RPI's scoring five.
Adding further strength to the team's effort,
Jack Loughery finished 15th in 25:28.4, while
Jack Czarnecki placed 20th in 25:37.4.
Recipients of an automatic berth, the Engineers as they now set their sights on the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for Saturday, November 22 in Spartanburg, SC.
