TROY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with a 19-9 victory over visiting SUNY Geneseo on Lower Renwyck Field today.
Zach Swanson and
Tyler Ruffini netted three goals apiece, while
Cooper Manzi and
Cooper Roman logged two tallied each. Ruffini also distributed two assists to finish with a team-leading five points.

Michael Kline,
Sean Mullen,
Sam Tholl,
Angelo Venuto,
JD Townsend,
Drew Teff,
Easton Morse, and
Gavin Cousineau also entered the scorebook with one goal apiece.
Morse added two assists and Roman, Mullen, and Venuto had one helper each to cap the afternoon with multi-point performances.
Patrick Keegan aided on an RPI goal as well.
After leading 2-1 after the first 15 minutes, the Engineers claimed six of the eight goals in second quarter to take a five-goal advantage into halftime. RPI would then outscore the Knights 8-2 in the third to pull away for the non-conference win.
The Engineers will next travel to Cortland for a 3:00 pm battle on Wednesday afternoon.
