ITHACA, NY- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's basketball team dropped a 85-59 result at Liberty League-leading Ithaca today.
RPI lead by two after 10 minutes, however the Bombers outscored the Engineers by 17 points in the second quarter to establish a double-digit margin that held firm throughout the second half.
Ithaca shot 12-of-19 from the floor in the key second half, and tallied 34 points off Engineer turnovers throughout the day.
Sophie Costello scored a team-high 13 points, while Julia Rowe, Callie Flynn, and Ashlyn O'Neil had eight points apiece for the Engineers. Tyler Hormazabal logged seven points, six rebounds, and three assists as well.
RPI is back home for its final four regular season games of the season, beginning with Friday's 5:30pm meeting with Bard in ECAV Arena.
