VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team suffered a 10-5 defeat at Christopher Newport University.
Lisa Boehmer and
Lauren DeLeo provided RPI with one goal each in the first half, while
Ella Graff tallied a hat trick in the fourth quarter to account for the Engineer scoring.
The Captains scored the first five goals of the night, and owned eight of the first 11 scores.
Micaela Leonard caused four turnovers, which marks a career-high for the sophomore.
Boehmer, Graff, and
Quinn Wollard forced two turnovers as well.
Graff added an assist on Boehner's tally early in the second quarter to give her a game-high four points.
RPI will head back north to prepare for its home opener on Tuesday at 4:30 pm against Middlebury College.
