Women's Lacrosse Welcomes #18 Ithaca for Senior Day

TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team was on the wrong end of an 12-8 result against #18 Ithaca today in ECAV Stadium.

The RPI offense found success early, as the Engineers received two goals from Ella Graff and one score each from Quinn Wollard and Lisa Boehmer to establish a 4-2 advantage after one quarter.

Ithaca would control the next 30 minutes of play however, with the Bombers enjoying a 9-2 rally across the second and third stanzas.

Molly McDonald found the back of the net for the first time this spring early in the fourth. Wollard capped her three-goal with an early goal as well in the final frame. Wollard and Audrey Silverman accounted for the RPI scoring in the middle quarters.

Silverman dished out three assists to finish the afternoon with a team-leading four points. Kira Abdelsayed, Camille Stackhouse, and Kate McFeeley had one assist each, while Graff supplemented her two-goal effort with a helper as well.

Sophia Cedrone led all players with five ground balls. Ava Gilardone and Jenny Canfield also scooped two ground balls each.

The Engineers will hit the road for their final three regular season games, starting with a Friday afternoon tilt at Bard.
