HARTFORD, CT – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's cross country team turned in a dominant performance at the George Suitor Invitational, capturing the team title while placing five runners among the top seven finishers in the 5K race.
Evan Lacey led the Engineers with the individual victory, crossing the finish line in 15:33.82.
Thomas Manson followed just behind in 15:35.99 to give RPI the top two individual finishers.
Sam Gunther placed fifth in 15:41.07, while Nicholas McAuley finished sixth in 15:41.43 and
Jack Czarnecki took seventh in 15:41.54 to round out the Engineers' scoring five.
RPI continued to fill the top of the standings, as
Nathaniel McKee (15:42.93),
Colin Goldschmidt (15:44.86),
Evan Morrow (15:45.08),
Danny Gall (15:47.57), Joe Nuzzo (15:52.87),
Brady Geisler (15:55.00),
Tevin McLaren (15:58.37),
Cameron Parker (15:58.87), and Dominic Pena (15:58.88) helped the Engineers account for 14 of the first 17 finishers.
Sam Gibbons finished 24th in 16:04.49, followed by
Tyler Carroll (16:06.69),
Tyler Husar (16:07.89), Ezekiel Shappel-Smith (16:11.71), and
Ryan McCabe (16:13.34). Additional RPI finishers included
Tyler Sinkins (16:24.58), Mikey Murphy (16:33.93),
Dexter McFadden (16:36.60),
Paul Hayden (16:39.82),
Anthony Lyons (17:00.12),
Ben Molino (17:00.19), and
