Men's Soccer Dealt First Setback of Season at Oswego

OSWEGO, N.Y. — The RPI men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2026 season this afternoon, falling 1-0 to Oswego State at Laker Turf Stadium. The Engineers controlled much of the play, finishing with a 15-6 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in corner kicks, but were unable to find the equalizer.

Oswego scored the game's only goal in the sixth minute when Ian Husselbeck found the back of the net.

RPI responded with sustained pressure, particularly after halftime, when the Engineers outshot the Lakers 12-5 and generated six corner kicks. Harrison Brownlow produced RPI's lone shot on goal in the 67th minute, but Oswego goalkeeper Kyle Rose made the save.

Jax Jameson led RPI with four shots, while Joshua Jarden added three and Brownlow and Andy Palm recorded two apiece. Noah Churchill made one save in net.
