HARTFORD, CT – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's cross country team placed second among 11 teams at the George Suitor Invitational, hosted by Trinity College, this morning.
Erin vonHousen led the Engineers across the 5K course, finishing fifth overall in 18:34.22. Fran Mavricos joined vonHousen inside the top 10 with a seventh-place effort in 18:52.93.
RPI placed three additional runners inside the top 25 to complete its scoring five.
Ava Handel finished 12th in 19:16.03, followed closely by
Charlotte Koutalidis in 13th at 19:22.22.
Karina Martinez crossed in 19:40.47 to finish 24th.
Alice Einhorn added a 29th-place showing in 19:45.83, while
Kaitlyn Fleming (19:57.61) and
Theresa O'Connor (20:08.83) finished 37th and 41st, respectively.
