
2026 CAPITAL DISTRICT MAYOR'S CUP
Date: Saturday, January 24th

Time: Doors open at 2pm | Women's puckdrop at 3pm | Men's puckdrop at 6pm

Cost: $20 (Children 12 & Under - $15)
Purchase Options: Tickets can be purchased in-person or over the phone at the RPI Houston Field House box office or at the MVP Arena box office (additional fees may apply)

TRANSPORTATION FROM RPI CAMPUS TO MVP ARENA
Free transportation will be available for the RPI community to the Mayor’s Cup, with buses scheduled to run from the RPI Student Union to MVP Arena starting at 2pm. Shuttles will run back and forth from downtown Albany to the RPI campus in 30-minute intervals until 9pm.

MVP ARENA BAG POLICY
CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will be allowed. Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand) will be allowed and do not need to be clear. Larger and other types of bags are prohibited. There is no storage or check-in for prohibited bags. For patrons with young children in attendance, diaper bags are allowed and subject to search.
MVP ARENA PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items, including but not limited to, are prohibited:
- professional cameras
- video/audio recorders including GoPro and stick style HD cameras
- weapons of any kind
- backpacks
- outside food and beverage
- glass items
- lasers and glow sticks
- fireworks
- laser pens, glow sticks
- banners on poles
- selfie sticks
- umbrellas
- poster tubes

OTHER FUN EVENTS SURROUNDING THE 2026 MAYOR'S CUP
- FACE OFF AGAINST HUNGER - food drive competition
- Bring shelf-stable items to the Mayor's Cup as RPI and Union fans will "face-off" in a competition to see which fan base will donate the most shelf-stable items to The Food Pantries for the Capital District! Donations will be collected in the Atrium at the Pearl Street entrance, as well as the parking garage entrance to MVP Arena between 2-6PM. The winner will be announced during the 6pm men's hockey game. All donations support The Food Pantries for the Capital District.
