Jason Falcon joined Rensselaer in February 2023, and enters his third year at the helm of the Engineers baseball program in 2025.
After finishing 25-15 overall and runner-up in the Liberty League East Division in his debut season at RPI, the Engineers took the next forward forward in 2024, as the program went 20-14 and won its first regular season division title since 2015.
Before coming to Troy, Falcon served as head coach at Salem State University. Prior to taking the reins at Salem State, Falcon led the pitching staff at the University at Albany for two years. He preceded his time with the Great Danes with four years as the hitting coach at Holy Cross from 2015 to 2019, where he produced nine All-Patriot League selections.

In his second season with the Crusaders in 2017, Falcon helped guide the team to its first Patriot League Championship and the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1978. Holy Cross qualified for the Patriot League Tournament during each of Falcon's four seasons on the coaching staff.
Falcon was the head coach at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, from 1999 to 2015, where he managed all aspects of the team. In 2010, Falcon led the 91-year old program to just its second winning season in school history, while producing a pair of all-conference players.
He was also the head coach of the North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) from 2007 to 2009, where he posted a 72-53 record at the helm and was named Manager of the Year in 2007.
Falcon also had coaching stops with the Lowell All-Americans of the NECBL as a pitching coach (2006), Team USA International as the head baseball coach and recruiting coordinator (1999-2006) and UMass Boston as an assistant coach.
He was a four-year letterwinner, two-year captain and team MVP while playing collegiately at Western New England University. Falcon earned numerous accolades, including Constitution Athletic Conference (CAC) Player of the Year in 1995 after leading the Golden Bears to the CAC Championship following a season in which he went 5-1 on the mound and hit .405 at the plate. He earned CAC conference honors two more times and was selected to play in the New England All-Star Game at Fenway Park in his senior season.
After graduating from Western New England in 1997, Falcon signed as a free agent with the Massachusetts Mad Dogs, an independent professional baseball team, where he pitched for two years.
Falcon earned his master’s degree in Athletics Administration in 2011 from Endicott College's Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
