Jon grew up in the Capital Region, graduating high school from Corinth, NY where he was a three-sport athlete competing in football, basketball, and baseball. Jon earned his B.A. in Biology at Hartwick College, where he played baseball for 4 years and football for 1 year. In 2006, he obtained a graduate degree from Ithaca College, earning an M.S. in Exercise and Sport Sciences with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. While at Ithaca, Jon completed an internship at the Lee Taft Speed Academy, a private sport performance business formerly located in Queensbury, NY, where he would eventually work for 2 years. Jon joined the RPI staff in November of 2009, where he supervises the Mueller Center Strength and Conditioning facility and designs and implements training programs for Swimming and Diving, Men's and Women's Tennis, Golf, and Baseball.

Jon's motivation for entering the strength and conditioning field came from his experiences playing football for renowned strength coach Lee Taft, where he gained confidence and improved his performance through proper training. His passion lies in helping all athletes achieve their full potential, especially inexperienced athletes who are highly motivated. In addition to training people of all ages, Jon enjoys watching and playing sports, specifically basketball and golf, as well
