Kyle Meyer

Kyle Meyer joined the RPI baseball program in 2010. He assists head coach Karl Steffen in all areas of the baseball program, including recruiting and directing camps and clinics.  On the field, he concentrates on hitting and infield play.

An East Greenbush, N.Y., native and product of nearby Columbia High School, he was an integral part of a team that won the 2004 New York State Class AA Championship, graduating in 2005 and moving on to compete for the Marist College Red Foxes.

As a player at Marist, Meyer started 162 games over 4 seasons, primarily at second base, third base, and right field, while also seeing time at shortstop and in center field. A team captain in his last 2 years, he led the team in runs scored in each of those seasons, while also leading the team in hit by pitches and stolen bases in his senior campaign. The Red Foxes would claim the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament that season, where he received All-Tournament Honors. Marist earned the right to participate in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament at the Florida State Regional alongside Florida State, Georgia, and Ohio State.

Meyer graduated in 2009 from Marist College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance, as well as a minor in Accounting. He served as the Co-Chairmen of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during his senior year.

Kyle also works in the Admissions Department as an Admissions Associate, while taking graduate classes as part of an MBA Curriculum here at RPI. He is currently the General Manager of the Blue Slate Bluehawks, a men’s summer league team competing in the longest running men’s league in the United States, the Albany Twilight League. Also the team’s shortstop, he competes alongside former RPI All-Americans Jason Pollard and Andrew Mondo.  He has been named to the All-Twilight team as its shortstop in three of the last four seasons.
