Anthony Casale began coaching at Rensselaer in 2008.

A former standout offensive lineman for the Engineers, Casale joined the staff after spending four years coaching at LaSalle Institute.

During his tenure as a student-athlete, Casale, a 2004 graduate of RPI, helped the Engineers compile a school record 5,741 yards in 2003, a season in which the Engineers set the school record for wins (11-2) and competed in the NCAA National Semifinals.   

As a junior, he played in all 10 games, helping the team average 6.3 yards per play and 436.2 yards per game, including 303.6 passing yards per contest.  Rensselaer scored a school record 49 touchdowns, averaging 36.0 points per game.

A native of Waterford, N.Y., Casale attended LaSalle, where he was a three-year starter and a captain.

In addition to coaching, Casale, whose brother Nick was a two-year captain for the Engineers, manages a family-owned business.
