Following a tremendous collegiate career at Rensselaer, Jimmy Robertson joined the coaching staff in 2009. He assists with the quarterbacks.
As a four-year starter, the Yonkers, N.Y., native set many of RPI’s passing records, including career completion percentage (60.2%), attempts (1,259), completions (758), yards passing (9,632) and total offense (10,157). An All-Liberty League selection each year, he is second in touchdown passes (78).
Robertson was the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year in 2008 after completing 206 of 336 passes (61.3%) for 2,585 yards and 19 touchdowns in 10 games. He averaged 258.5 passing yards per game. He also carried the ball 80 times for 186 yards and three touchdowns.
Robertson, a multiple ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team selection, graduated in May with a bachelor’s from the Lally School of Management & Technology. He then played professionally in Europe.
