John Maletta is in his 14th year at Rensselaer.
This season he will continue to coach the running backs and assist with the kickoff return team.
He previously served as the coach of the tight ends and wide receivers as well as the offensive line and he has coached the defensive backs.
Maletta has also worked as an assistant football coach at the high school level, having spent two seasons with Catholic Central High in Troy, N.Y.
Maletta’s playing days were at Louisiana State University, where he was a linebacker for the Tigers. He also played at Hudson Valley Community College, where he earned a degree.
