Brouillard joined the Rensselaer football staff in August of 2011.
A 2007 graduate of Springfield College (B.S. in business management), Brouillard comes to Rensselaer from his alma mater, where he was an assistant coach and video assistant the past two seasons. Among his responsibilities were with the running backs and special teams. The Plymouth, Mass., native also served as the offensive coordinator of the junior varsity. Brouillard, who has been a clinician at the Boston College Football Camp, has also coached and taught at the youth level, including stints at Herndon High School in Virginia as well as in Eastern Massachusetts.
A halfback who averaged 6.76 yards per carry for the Pride, Brouillard earned several awards, including the 2007 Howard Resnick Coaches Award and the 2005 Most Courageous Award. Prior to attending Springfield, where he helped the team to an ECAC Championship (2004) and an NCAA Tournament berth (2006), he was a standout at Plymouth North High School.
